MQC consultants have lived and worked throughout North America and overseas, accumulating experiences that have shaped us into curious and easygoing guests, thoughtful and energetic hosts. When we conduct site visits and campus workshops, we take advantage of the opportunity to absorb organizational culture and see clients in action. And when we host retreats and other events, we take great care to ensure that the benefits of participation outweigh the costs of time away from home and the office.
The faculty for each retreat include former program officers, grantees, and seasoned peer reviewers. The setting may be on-campus, at a central regional location, or in an off-campus location that will promote participants' total focus on the development of skills and the proposal at-hand.
Customized events may be scheduled on request, and invitations to participate in retreats are issued several times per year.

At MQC Proposal Writing Retreats, most recently held at the historic Glasbern Inn in Fogelsville, PA, distraction-free stretches of writing time alternate with opportunities to learn, teach, and develop critical peer reviewer perspective.
